Salzkammergut

Summer holiday at the lake

Bad Ischl, Hallstatt, St. Wolfgang and Altaussee.

The former private treasury of the Habsburg monarchs in the center of Austria not only boasts with illustrious names, but as a UNESCO World Heritage region it can also be counted among the most impressive regions in the small Alpine country in terms of landscape.

Over 70 lakes, surrounded by forests, water, meadows and rocks, the Salzkammergut offers direct access to all forms of physical activity, in summer as well as in winter.

Salzburg, the nearby city of Mozart, is just an hour's drive away and offers the metropolitan flair of the medieval Bishop's seat with its impressive fortress and a diverse cultural programme.

In 2024, Salzkammergut / Bad Ischl was chosen as the European main cultural capital, together with Bodo in Norway and Tartu in Estonia.

Landhaus Koller was actively involved in the project "Room with a view" and offered young designers the opportunity to realize their vision of a “Salzkammergut room”.
